In LTL (Less-than-Truckload) freight shipping, items are palletized, wrapped, and loaded onto a semi-truck. LTL shipments are used for items that cannot ship via small package services like FedEx Ground, either due to their size, weight, or other characteristics. The LTL truck will pull up to your loading dock or curbside for unloading. It is the customers responsibility to unload the items from the truck. A lift gate - a device to lower the pallet to the ground - can be provided upon request for an additional fee.
