When checking out on our website, you may have noticed that most items require a freight quote (we do have a handful of items that ship free but are clearly stated as such). Almost all our furniture ships via LTL freight because of the bulky size of restaurant furniture.
This method of shipping is new for a lot of our customers so we thought we would answer some of the most asked questions we get.
What goes into a freight quote?
Shipping cost is determined by distance, location, destination type, size, weight, and any additional services such as a lift-gate. With all these factors in mind, each freight quote is unique and specific to the original request and requires our customer care team to run the numbers in conjunction with our freight partners. If you add, delete, or modify the order items in any way, a new freight quote is required.
When should you submit a freight quote?
Freight quotes can be submitted prior to the order being placed or during the checkout process. Either way, this quote must be approved by the customer for the order to continue through our system.
How do I submit a freight quote prior to placing an order?
- Begin by clicking on your shopping cart and click “View Cart”.
- From inside the cart, review your items to make sure you have included everything you intend to purchase. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click “Request Freight Quote”.
- A pop-up will appear that asks if you want to merge items in your cart. If this is a new quote, click “New”.
- Fill out the fields with the delivery’s destination information and click “Submit Quote”.
How do I submit a freight quote while checking out?
Click on the cart (like step #1) and then click “Check Out”. When you get to the shipping information, you’ll note the following:
This box is automatically filled in as this is the way we ship most restaurant furniture. Proceed through the order like normal and be on the lookout with an email from our customer care team for you to approve.
How long does it take to get a freight quote?
It takes our customer care team one to two business days to put these specific quotes together and send to you. If you are waiting on your freight quote, do not forget to check your spam email. Many times, these quotes get stuck in our customers’ spam boxes and are easily missed, delaying the order until it is found.
